Diagnostic Test Procedures
CONSULTConsult Inspection Procedure
1. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
2. Connect "CONSULT" to Data link connector.
3. Turn ignition switch "ON".
4. Touch "START".
5. Touch "IVMS".
6. Touch "DOOR LOCK".
- DATA MONITOR, ACTIVE TEST and SELF-DIAGNOSIS are available for the power door lock.
HOW TO PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
1. Choose "DOOR LOCK" in SELECT TEST ITEM.
2. Touch "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" of SELECT DIAG mode.
3. Touch "START".
4. Start self-diagnosis on all door motors. Lock and unlock all doors by operating door motors automatically.
- When no malfunction is detected.
- When malfunction is detected.

Mode III (Power door lock operation)
How To Perform Mode III
Description
In this mode, a malfunction code is indicated by the number of flashes from the front map lamps and step lamps:
After indicator lamp turns ON for 2 seconds and then turns OFF, it flashes to indicate a malfunction code. For example, the indicator lamp goes on and off for 0.5 seconds three times. This indicates malfunction code "3".
The self-diagnostic results will remain in the BCM memory.

NOTE:
^ When Local Control Unit (LCU) connectors are disconnected for more than 1 minute such as during trouble diagnoses, the "disconnected" data will be memorized by the Body Control Unit (BCM). Therefore, after reconnecting the LCU connectors, erase the memory.
^ To erase the memory, perform the procedure below.
Erase the memory with CONSULT or turn the ignition switch to "OFF" position and remove 7.5 A fuse (No. (56), located in the fuse block and fusible link box).
