Axle and Suspension Parts

1. Check rear axle and suspension parts for looseness, wear or damage.





2. Shake each rear wheel to check for excessive play.








3. Retighten all nuts and bolts to the specified torque.





4. Check shock absorber for oil leakage or other damage.
5. Check wheelarch height.

NOTE: Spring height is not adjustable. If out of specification, check for worn springs or suspension parts.

a. Park vehicle on a level surface with vehicle unladen (i.e.: Fuel, radiator coolant and engine oil full. Spare tire, jack, hand tools and mats in designated positions.
b. Check tires for proper inflation and wear (tread wear indicator must not be showing).





c. Bounce vehicle up and down several times and measure dimensions Hf and Hr.

Models with 205/65 R15 tires:
Hf (front) 713 mm (28.07 inch)
Hr (rear) 715 mm (28.15 inch)
Models with 215/60 R15 tires:
Front and rear 713 mm (28.07 inch)
