Collision Diagnosis

To repair the SRS, perform the following steps.

When SRS Is Activated In A Collision
1. Replace the diagnosis sensor unit.
2. Remove the air bag modules.
3. Check the SRS components using the table shown below:
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation).

4. Conduct self-diagnosis. Refer to Diagnostic Procedure 1, Procedure 1Ensure the remainder of the SRS is operating properly.
5. Install new air bag modules.
6. Conduct self-diagnosis again.

When SRS Is Not Activated In A Collision
1. Check the SRS components. Refer to Trouble Code Charts / Diagnostic Procedure 1. Procedure 1
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation).

2. Conduct self-diagnosis using CONSULT and "AIR BAG" warning lamp. Refer to Diagnostic Procedure 1, Procedure 1Ensure entire SRS operates properly.
