Initial condition
1. Close all doors.
2. Close hood and trunk lid.
3. Pull Key out of ignition.
Disarmed phase
The theft warning system is in the disarmed phase when any door(s), hood or trunk lid is opened. The security indicator lamp blinks every second.
Pre-armed phase and armed phase
The theft warning system turns into the "pre-armed" phase when hood, trunk lid and all doors are closed and locked by key or remote controller. (The security indicator lamp illuminates.)
After about 30 seconds, the system automatically shifts into the "armed" phase (the system is set).
3. Cancelling the set theft warning system
When the following (a) or (b) operation is performed, the armed phase is canceled.
a. Unlock the doors or the trunk lid with the key.
b. Unlock the doors or the trunk lid with the remote controller.
4. Activating the alarm operation of the theft warning system
Make sure the system is in the armed phase. When the following operation (a) or (b) is performed, the system sounds the horns and flashes the headlamps for about 2.5 minutes. (At the same time, the system disconnects the starting system circuit.)
The starting system is kept dead even after the alarm turns off.
a. Open the engine hood or trunk lid using the trunk lid opener.
b. Unlock any door without key or remote controller.
c. Pull out the key cylinder from either door or the trunk lid.
