Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

The clutch hydraulic system must be bled whenever a clutch line has been disconnected or when air has entered system. bleed valve is located on clutch operating cylinder.

Fig. 2 Clutch Pedal Height Adjustment.:

1. Adjust clutch pedal height, dimension "H" in Fig. 2 to specifications shown in Specifications.

2. Measure clutch pedal freeplay as shown in Fig. 4 and dimension "A". Adjust clutch pedal freeplay by rotating clutch master cylinder pushrod inward or outward until specified freeplay is obtained. After completing freeplay adjustment, tighten locknut. Clutch pedal freeplay is sum of play between piston and piston rod.




3. Adjust dimension "C" Fig. 5 to specifications, with clutch pedal fully depressed.
4. After above adjustments have been completed, cycle clutch pedal several times to ensure clutch linkage operates smoothly without binding.
