APPLIED VEHICLES:

Some 1994 and 1995 Nissan vehicles are finished with New Cross Link Clear Coat (NCLC). NCLC is designed with uniform cross-linking which provides a paint film that is hard enough to help resist acid rain damage and elastic enough to also provide improved resistance to scratching. Vehicles produced with NCLC clear coat can be identified by either a sticker on the shock tower under the hood or by referring to the attached chart.

AUTHORIZED PAINT SUPPLIERS

Nissan is working with refinish paint vendors to develop approved materials and procedures for proper refinishing of vehicles, including those vehicles painted with NCLC. To ensure proper color matching, adhesion and long term wear, repaired vehicles should be refinished with products that have been tested and approved by Nissan for use with this unique clear coat finish. At the time of this publication, the following refinish paint manufacturers provide materials and procedures which meet Nissan requirements (refer to chart, below):

Note:
Nissan will not reimburse for repair of NCLC paint if the dealer has not used refinish products approved by Nissan as indicated in this bulletin.
