Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

A fused 12 Volt signal flows through the [1][2]A/C relay and the dual pressure switch to the Engine Control Module (ECM), allowing it to control A/C systems such as the Acceleration Cut Control System and the Fast Idle Control System when the A/C is on.
