Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air Cleaner:

PURPOSE
Ensures the engine receives a clean air supply.

OPERATION
Air drawn in through the fresh air duct, passes through the air filter and into the Throttle Body. The filter traps airborne abrasive particles to help keep internal engine wear to a minimum.

CONSTRUCTION
The air cleaner houses a rectangular, pleated, viscous paper filter. The viscous paper filter does not need cleaning between renewals.
