Variable Valve Timing Solenoid: Description and Operation

Valve Timing Control System:

PURPOSE
To allow the Engine Control Module (ECM) to adjust intake valve timing, according to engine operating conditions.

Valve Timing Control Operation:

OPERATION
The Valve Timing Control (VTC) Solenoid Valve controls oil pressure which regulates the position of the intake camshaft.
