Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On models with automatic transmission, proceed as follows:
a. Support transmission with suitable jack.
b. Remove four rear mounting bracket bolts.
c. Slightly lower transmission.
d. Remove ATF level gauge pipe.

3. Disconnect starter wiring from starter.
4. Remove starter retaining bolts and starter.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
