Canister Purge Control Valve: Description and Operation

Carbon Canister:

PURPOSE
To regulate the purging of the fuel vapor from the Evaporative Canister.

LOCATION
On top of the Evaporative Canister

OPERATION
When a strong enough vacuum signal is supplied through the Purge Control Solenoid, vacuum will overcome spring tension in the Purge Control Valve, opening the valve and purging the canister.
