Rear

Fig. 22 Rear suspension. 1985-88 Maxima & 1987-88 Stanza:

1. Raise and support rear of vehicle and remove wheel and tire assemblies.
2. Remove both brake assemblies, leaving brake lines attached.
3. Remove parallel link, radius rod, stabilizer bar and stabilizer bar bracket attaching bolts, Fig. 22.
4. Remove rear seat and parcel shelf assembly.
5. Remove right hand strut attaching nuts from top end, then lower strut from vehicle.
6. Disconnect exhaust pipe clamps installed after flexible hose.
7. Remove front radius rod attaching bolt, then the stabilizer bar connecting rod bracket and suspension crossmember attaching nuts.
8. Remove left hand strut attaching nuts from top end, then lower strut from vehicle.
