Air Induction Valve Control System (AIV)

1987-88 Pulsar Exc. E16i Engine, Pathfinder, Pickup, Stanza, Stanza Wagon, Van & 200SX

This system is used to reduce emissions by supplying air through the air induction valve. This system consists of an air induction valve (AIV), AIV control valve and AIV solenoid valve.
The air induction valve is designed for one-way operation and consists of one way reed valves which inducts secondary air into the exhaust manifold. The AIV control valve is controlled by the AIV solenoid valve which is controlled by electrical signal from ECU.
