Air Conditioner Performance Test: Overview

The following conditions must be established for the A/C performance test:
CAUTION:
In very cold temperatures, the vehicle should be placed inside a building overnight before the performance test, and the engine should be run for 10 minutes or more with the A/C "ON".

Note A: The pressure will change in the following manner with changes in condition:

^ When blower speed is slow, discharge pressure will drop.
^ When the relative humidity of intake air is low, discharge pressure will drop.

Note B: The temperature will change in the following manner with changes in condition:

^ When the ambient temperature is low, the outlet air temperature will be low.
