Rocker Shaft Torque & Sequence



IMPORTANT: Tighten the rocker shaft bolts gradually in two or three stages.

NOTE: Before tightening the bolts, set the camshaft with the lobe at the position where lobe is not contacting a lifter.






1. Set the No. 1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke and tighten the rocker shaft bolts for No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 cylinders.
2. Set the No. 4 piston at TDC on the compression stroke and tighten the rocker shaft bolts for No.1, No. 3, and No. 5 cylinders.

Shaft Bolt Torque 18-22 Nm (13-16 ft lbs)
Rear Camshaft Plate Torque 78-88 Nm (58-65 ft lbs)
