Rear Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

OIL SEAL INSTALLING DIRECTION:

Install oil seal in direction shown.

REAR OIL SEAL
1. Remove drive plate.
2. Remove rear oil seal retainer.






3. Remove rear oil seal from retainer.
Be careful not to scratch rear oil seal retainer.

4. Apply engine oil to new oil seal and install it using suitable tool.
5. Install rear oil seal retainer with a new gasket to cylinder block.
Always use a new oil seal retainer to cylinder block gasket.
