Non-Trouble Code Procedures

METER/GAUGE RESISTANCE CHECK
1. Check resistance between meter/gauge installation screws.




FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT CHECK
- For removal, refer to "Removal and Installation". Check the resistance between fuel level sensor unit terminals 2 and 4.




THERMAL TRANSMITTER CHECK
Check the resistance between thermal transmitter terminal 1 and body ground.




VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK
1. Remove vehicle speed sensor from transmission.
2. Turn vehicle speed sensor pinion quickly and measure voltage across 1 and 2.
