This bulletin amends NTB99-035. This version includes additional Model Year applications. Please discard all paper copies of the earlier bulletin.

IF YOU CONFIRM:

A 1999-2002 Quest's 2nd or 3rd side window pops open or will not latch under certain conditions, for instance:

^ when a door is closed

^ when the vehicle is driven over rough roads

The tension of the window latch may not be enough to keep the window closed.

ACTIONS:

^ Loosen and slide the latch forward or back to adjust the tension.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Loosen, but do not remove the mounting screw or mounting nut that holds the latch to the window glass. See Figure 1a and 1b.

2. Adjust the latch forward or back until the window stays closed.

^ Sliding the latch forward will increase latch tension.

^ Sliding the latch back will decrease latch tension.

NOTE:
Adjust latch tight enough so that it snaps shut.

3. Test drive the vehicle to make sure the incident is fixed.
