On 2000 Frontier and Xterra vehicles, Nissan windshield washer concentrate (Nissan P/N 999MP-A4035) and similar methyl alcohol based aftermarket concentrates will create a whitish colored stain on the grille's flat gray paint if spilled full strength while filling the windshield washer reservoir (see Figure 1). This stain cannot be removed and, if it occurs, the grille must be refinished.

Pre-mixing these concentrates with water to the manufacturer's recommended levels prior to pouring the fluid into the reservoir will help prevent staining of the grille.

CAUTION:
Do not pour unmixed washer fluid into the vehicle's windshield washer reservoir and then add water to mix.
