SERVICE INFORMATION





If an air dam seal protector (see Figure 1) requires replacement, it is not necessary to replace the entire air dam assembly. Replacement air dam seal protectors for 2000-2001 Xterra and Frontier Crew Cabs are available, if required.

Should the seal protector need to be replaced, use the service procedure in this bulletin to install a new seal protector.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. If necessary, remove a loose or damaged seal protector from the leading edge of the air dam.

NOTE:
For Xterra vehicles only, it is possible that no roof guard (paint protector film) has been installed to the contact point between the air dam leading edge and the roof panel.

If this roof guard is missing, refer to Nissan Technical Bulletin NTB00-035 "2000 Xterra Roof Paint Damage At Lower Edge Of Roof Rack Air Dam" for the procedure to install a replacement roof guard.

2. Align the appropriate seal protector listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section below along the edge of the air dam (see Figure 1).

3. Snap the protector onto the air dam edge (see Figure 1).
