SERVICE INFORMATION

If an applied 1997-99 2WD Pathfinder exhibits body/floor/seat vibration or a cabin drone noise is heard at constant speeds of 40 to 70 mph, propeller shaft parts may have been machined incorrectly or may not be in alignment.

If this condition exists, it may be more easily noticed when driving on a smooth, straight roadway with a slight incline.

Replacement propeller shaft parts are available to correct this condition if it should occur. Use the following procedure to test drive the vehicle and inspect and replace the propeller shaft.
