Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Cylinder Head Assembly

Removal
To remove the intake manifold from engine, the following parts should be disconnected:
a. Engine coolant temperature switch harness connector
b. Thermal transmitter harness connector
c. Water hose from thermostat housing

Installation
- Tighten nuts and bolts in sequence opposite of removal using the following three steps:
1. Tighten all bolts and nuts to 4 Nm (36 in. lbs.).
2. Tighten all bolts and nuts to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.).
3. Tighten all bolts and nuts to 8 - 10 Nm (71 - 89 in. lbs.).

- Replace parts previously removed.
