Expansion Valve: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge A/C system.

CAUTION: Discharge only into the proper recycling equipment. Do not release refrigerant into the air.

2. Remove passenger side instrument lower cover and glove compartment.
3. Disconnect wiring harness connectors to evaporator.

4. Separate cooling unit case halves and remove evaporator, Fig. 8.
5. Remove expansion valve.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
