Electrical - No 'READY' Mode In Extreme Cold Weather

No: TSB-12-54-016

DATE: December, 2012

MODEL: 2012 i-MiEV

SUBJECT:
NO "READY" MODE IN EXTREME COLD WEATHER

PURPOSE

Owners of some affected vehicles may report they can not set the vehicle to "READY" mode in extreme cold weather (approximately -25° C, -13° F). This may be due to a frozen EV control relay. This TSB advises dealers that an improved EV control relay is available to correct this condition, and provides replacement instructions.
