2012 i-MiEV MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE ADDENDUM
- BATTERY CAPACITY CHECK

PURPOSE

As a result of improved software, "Check Main Drive Lithium-Ion Battery for Capacity" has been eliminated from the regular and severe maintenance schedules for 2012 i-MiEV.

DETAILS

Owners may now complete this check by performing the following steps at least once the first year, and every 24 months thereafter.

1. Drive the vehicle until the State of Charge (SOC) indicator displays 2 bars or less.

2. Ensure ambient temperature is between 50 - 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. Fully charge the battery using a Level 1 or Level 2 charger.

Performing the above maximizes SOC accuracy.

Owners are given the option to have a certified i-MiEV dealer perform the check as an additional maintenance item.

MMNA will mail registered owners a letter advising them of the change. Dealers will receive a sufficient supply of both the Warranty and Maintenance Manual Addendum, and the Owner's Manual Addendum in a separate mailing. Upon receipt, please place one of each addendum into the owner's portfolio for each 2012 i-MiEV in dealer inventory. Vehicles shipped from port stock on or after 02/24/2012 will have the addendums already in the glovebox.
