Interior - Glove Box Sticks/Won't Open

GLOVE BOX STICKS/WILL NOT OPEN
PURPOSE
Customers of some affected vehicles may report the glove box is difficult to open. In some rare cases they may report the glove box will not open.
A burr at the opening in the instrument panel where the latch rod secures the glove box may prevent smooth movement of the latch mechanism. If the glove box handle is operated with rapid force to overcome a sticking latch the latch mechanism may be damaged.
This TSB provides instructions to identify and repair a sticking glove box and how to replace the latch mechanism if necessary.
