Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

HOW TO REDUCE PRESSURIZED FUEL PRESSURE

When removing the fuel pipes and fuel hoses, follow the procedure below to release fuel pressure in the line and prevent fuel from running out, because fuel pressure in the fuel line is high.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Rear Seat Assembly Removal and Installation).





2. Remove the floor inspection lid (LH).





3. Disconnect the fuel pump module connector.
4. Crank the engine for two seconds or more, and turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
NOTE:
If the engine starts, wait until the engine stops by itself, then turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

5. Connect the fuel pump module.
6. Install the floor inspection lid (LH).
