CHECK THE BRAKE OVERRIDE FOR CORRECT FUNCTION

WARNING:
For safety reason, service technicians must not stand in front of or behind the vehicle.

1. Lift the vehicle until the wheels are clear of the ground.

2. Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position, and connect the scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to the data link connector.

3. Start the engine.

4. Press and hold the the ASC OFF switch for three seconds or more to deactivate the ASC.

5. Select "MFI/GDI/Diesel" and "Service data" from "System selection screen" on the M.U.T.-III to display the APP sensor (main).

6. Move the shift lever to drive range [TC-SST], or the shift lever to third gear [M/T].

CAUTION:
Do not depress the accelerator pedal too deeply (do not open the throttle valve fully).

7. Depress and hold the accelerator pedal so that 2,500 mV or more is indicated on the "APP sensor (main)" of "Service data".

CAUTION:
The wheels will be locked when the brake pedal is depressed too deeply. Depress it only enough to illuminate the stoplights.

8. Wait for two seconds or more from the step above. Depress the brake pedal slightly while the accelerator pedal remains depressed.

9. Wait for two seconds or more from the step above. Confirm that the engine speed reduces to ca. 1,000 r/min while the accelerator pedal remains depressed. If the engine speed does not reduce, release the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal once. Then repeat steps 8 to 10.

10. If the engine speed does not reduce at the step above, check whether diagnostic trouble code(s) are stored or not. Then check the input signal system and the ECU.

NOTE:
When you check the brake override control by using Service Data function, you must select item number listed below to monitor whether value changes.
