DTC C1900: TPMS Abnormality (ID Code Not Registered)

TPMS DTC SET CONDITION

DTC C1900 will be set if the tire pressure sensor IDs are not registered correctly in the TPMS receiver. At the same time this DTC is set, the TPMS warning light flashes for about 1 minute and then remain illuminated.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINT

Execute "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration" on scan tool MB991958 .

DIAGNOSIS

Required Special Tools:

- MB991958: Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III Sub Assembly)
- MB991824: Vehicle Communication Interface (V.C.I.)
- MB991827: M.U.T.-III USB Cable
- MB991910: M.U.T.-III Main Harness A

STEP 1. Execute "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration"
on scan tool MB991958.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.

Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Execute "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration" (Refer to Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration).

Q. Is the "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration" complete?

YES Go to Step 2.

NO Repeat the troubleshooting from Step 1.

STEP 2. Check the diagnostic trouble code.

NOTE:
If the "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration" has been completed successfully, the DTC will be erased automatically.

Q. Does diagnostic trouble code C1900 reset?

YES Replace the TPMS receiver (Refer to TPMS Receiver Removal and Installation), Then go to Step 1.
NO The procedure is complete.
