Rotary Cylinder Removal and Installation




REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION













NOTE:
*1: Do not remove the oil line of the No.5 bow lock cylinder.

NOTE:
*2: Do not remove the wiring harness connector connection of the position sensor.

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

[[A]] FOLDING TOP SIDE COVER BRACKET MOUNTING SCREWS REMOVAL





1. No.5 bow and tonneau panel are opened.





2. Remove the strap as shown in the figure.
3. Remove the folding top side cover bracket mounting screws.

[[B]] NO.5 BOW LOCK CYLINDER /POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL





Remove the No.5 bow lock cylinder and position sensor and attach them to a nearby parts with an adhesive tape as shown in the figure.

[[C]] GUIDE LINK MOUNTING SCREWS REMOVAL





Remove three clips fixed to the top rear rail garnish. Turn up the headliner and remove the guide link mounting screws.
NOTE:
Do not re-use the clips.

[[D]] ROTARY CYLINDER REMOVAL





CAUTION:
Removing the rotary cylinder causes the convertible top assembly lower, so use a board to support the convertible top assembly.





Slide the tab in the direction of the arrow, and remove the hydraulic hose.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

]]A[[ ROTARY CYLINDER INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Since the o-ring at the connection of the rotary cylinder and the hydraulic hose is small and delicate, be careful when installing it.

]]B[[ GUIDE LINK MOUNTING SCREWS INSTALLATION





Tighten the guide link mounting screws in the order as shown in the figure.
