PURPOSE
This TSB establishes an application procedure for double sided adhesive tape used for repairing resin parts (such as side sill garnish and moldings).

�A� SIDE SILL INSTALLATION
1. Wipe the adhesion surface with a general purpose surface or adhesive cleaner to degrease it. Then wipe the area with a 50/50 solution of alcohol and water.
2. Apply the specified primer to the double-sided adhesive tape surface. Then dry it off sufficiently.
Specified Primer: 3M 06396 or equivalent.
3. Tear off the double-sided tape backing paper.
NOTE:
If you attach a piece of adhesive tape to the edge of the backing paper, it will be easy to tear off
4. Install the side sill garnish.
NOTE:
If the adhesive tape is difficult to affix in cold temperature, etc., warm the bonding surfaces of the body and side sill garnish to about 40-60° C (104-140° F) before attaching adhesive tape.
5. Firmly press on the side sill garnish.
