Fluid - ASMT: Testing and Inspection

TC-SST OIL LEVEL CHECK
1. After cleaning the outer surface of transaxle, visually check that there is no oil oozing or oil leaking from the transaxle.
2. If an oil oozing or leaking is present, replace the transaxle assembly.
TC-SST OIL CHANGE
1. Remove the engine compartment under cover front B assembly.
2. Start the engine, and let it run at idle to warm it up for 15 minutes.
3. Move the shift lever to every position (P, R, N, D, manual mode)(Hold for 20 seconds in each position) and then move it to the P range.
4. Stop the engine.
5. Remove the air cleaner element and air cleaner intake duct.
6. Remove the filler plug.
7. Remove the oil drain plug and leave it for 3 minutes to drain the oil.
NOTE: Because the oil in the oil cooler, oil filter, and transaxle cannot be drained completely, the amount of drained oil will be approximately 5.5 dm3 (5.81 qts).
8. Tighten the oil drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 35 ± 5 Nm (25.8 ± 3.5 ft.lbs.)
9. Fill the oil into the filler plug.
Brand name: Mitsubishi genuine Dia-Queen SSTF-I
Filling amount: Approximately 5.5 dm3 (5.81 qts)
10. Install the filler plug.
Tightening torque: 35 ± 5 Nm (25.8 ± 3.5 ft.lbs.)
11. Install the air cleaner element, and the air cleaner intake duct.
12. Install the engine compartment under cover front B assembly.
