HOOD RELEASE CABLE REPLACEMENT
PURPOSE
On some vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines, corrosion on the inside of the hood lock release cable can make it difficult to release the hood locking latch using the latch handle. This Service Campaign authorizes dealers to replace the hood lock release cable with an improved part designed to prevent internal corrosion. Refer to the Parts Information section of this campaign bulletin for additional information.
