INSPECTION PROCEDURE 9: The Navigation Sound Is Not Output Or The Noise Enters In The Sound.TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- The DIN cable may be defective
- The radio, CD player and CD changer may be defective
- The navigation unit may be defective
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check if the navigation system sound volume setting is set to MIN.
Q: Is the navigation system sound volume setting set to MIN?
YES : Change the navigation sound volume setting.
NO : Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check that the audio sound is output from the front left speaker.
Q: Is the audio sound output from the front left speaker?
YES : Go to Step 3.
NO : INSPECTION PROCEDURE 20: Perform "Only the front left speaker does not sound (including the audio sound)". Inspection Procedure 20
STEP 3. Check the DIN cable connector shape and engagement between the navigation unit and the radio, the CD player, and CD changer.
Q: Is there any abnormality to the DIN cable connector shape and engagement between the navigation unit and the radio, CD player, and CD changer?
YES : Go to Step 4.
NO : Replace the DIN cable, the navigation unit, or the radio, CD player and CD changer. Check that the guidance sound is normal.
STEP 4. DIN cable inspection between the navigation unit and the radio, CD player, and CD changer
Q: Is the DIN cable between the navigation unit and the radio, CD player, and CD changer normal?
YES : Go to Step 5.
NO : Replace the DIN cable. Check that the guidance sound is normal.
STEP 5. Temporarily replace the navigation unit, and check that the guidance sound is normal.
Q: When the navigation unit is temporarily replaced, is the guidance sound normal?
YES : Replace the navigation unit. Check that the guidance sound is normal.
NO : Replace the radio, and the CD player and CD changer. Check that the guidance sound is normal.
