INSPECTION PROCEDURE 17: When In The Navigation Mode, The Messages Below Are Displayed.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- The special map disc may be defective.
- The navigation unit may be defective

"THE DISC CANNOT BE READ. PLEASE CHECK THE DISC. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, PLEASE HAVE THE SYSTEM INSPECTED AT YOUR NEAREST DEALER."

DIAGNOSIS

STEP 1. Check that no fouling or scratch is present to the DVD (map disc).

Q: Is any fouling or scratch present to DVD (map disc)?

YES : Go to Step 2.

NO : Replace the special map disc. Check that the message is not displayed when in the navigation mode.

STEP 2. When the DVD (map disc) is inserted again, check that the map display is normal.

Q: When the DVD (map disc) is inserted again, is the map display normal?

YES : The procedure is complete.

NO : Replace the navigation unit. Check that the message is not displayed when in the navigation mode.

"THE DISC IS NOT A MAP DISC. PLEASE INSERT THE MAP DISC."

DIAGNOSIS

STEP 1. Check that the inserted DVD (map disc) is the special map disc.

Q: Is the inserted DVD (map disc) the special map disc?

YES : Go to Step 2.

NO : Replace with the special map disc. Check that the message is not displayed when in the navigation mode.

STEP 2. When the DVD (map disc) is inserted again, check that the map display is normal.

Q: When the DVD (map disc) is inserted again, is the map display normal?

YES : The procedure is complete.

NO : Replace the navigation unit. Check that the message is not displayed when in the navigation mode.
