Body - Water Leak Through Sun Roof Seal

SUNROOF WATER LEAK
PURPOSE
Water leakage may occur due to water getting past the sunroof glass seal. Leakage may be evident from the sunroof switch or at the SRS logo covers on the "A" pillar trim. Follow the procedure below to add sunroof lid guide covers to repair this condition.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2006-07 Eclipse equipped with sunroof produced before April 20 2007.
PROCEDURE
1. Remove the sunroof glass. Follow the service manual procedure in Group 42A of the appropriate service manual for removal instructions.
2. Remove the headliner. Follow the service manual procedure in Group 52A of the appropriate service manual for removal instructions.
3. Disconnect the four sunroof drain tubes.
4. Remove the complete sunroof assembly from the vehicle and place it onto an appropriate work surface.
5. Clip the left hand and right hand sunroof lid guide cover (listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin) onto each front corner as shown.
6. Reinstall the sunroof assembly into the vehicle.
7. Reattach the four drain tubes. Insure that the tubes are pushed all the way onto the sunroof drain nipples.
8. The glass should be centered in the vehicle and 1 mm below the roof surface along the front edge and flush with the roof surface along the rear edge. If the sunroof glass in not in the proper position adjust as necessary.
9. Reinstall the headliner.
10. Reinstall the sunroof glass.
11. Verify proper sunroof operation.
12. Verify there are no water leaks.
