READING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES

WHEN USING THE ABS WARNING LIGHT
Required Special Tool:
^ MB991529: Diagnostic Trouble Code Check Harness





1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position.
2. Use special tool MB991529 to earth terminal number 1 (diagnostic control terminal) of the data link connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.








4. Read out a diagnostic trouble code by observing how the ABS warning light flashes.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position.
6. Disconnect special tool MB991529.
