Instruments - Resetting Outside Temperature Display

No: TT-120-54-003

DATE: November 2005

MODEL: See Below

SUBJECT
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY

Outside Temperature Display - 2006 Eclipse. On 2006 Eclipses built before 10/20/05, due to a multi-center display software function, if the battery was disconnected for 15 minutes or longer while the ignition key was in the ACC or ON position, the outside temperature will not display after the battery is reconnected.

Do not replace the multi-center display for this condition. To display the outside temperature, turn the ignition key to the ACC position. Then press the H and M buttons on the multi-center display simultaneously and keep them pressed for 10 seconds. The outside temperature will now display. The default is F (Fahrenheit). You can toggle to C (Celsius) by repeating this step.
