Instruments - Outside Temperature Display Set Up

No: TSB-05-54-008

DATE: November 01, 2005

SUBJECT: OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY

MODEL: 2006 Eclipse

PURPOSE
On affected vehicles, if the battery was disconnected for 15 minutes or longer while the ignition key was in the ACC or ON position, the outside temperature will not display after the battery is reconnected. This is caused by a multi-center display software function, which has been corrected on vehicles built after 10/20/05.

Do not replace the multi-center display for this condition. To display the outside temperature after this has occurred, follow the procedure in this bulletin.

AFFECTED VEHICLES
2006 Eclipse models built before 10/20/05

PROCEDURE
1.Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.

2.Press the "H" and "M" buttons on the multi-center display simultaneously and keep them pressed for 10 seconds. The outside temperature will now display.

NOTE: The default is "F" (Fahrenheit). You can toggle to "C" (Celsius) by repeating this step.
