Transmission Mount: Service and Repair






TRANSAXLE MOUNTING
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Mounting locations marked by should be provisionally tightened, and then fully tightened after placing the vehicle horizontally and loading the full weight of the engine on the vehicle body.

Required Special Tools:
^ MB991453: Engine Hanger Assembly
^ MB991895: Engine Lifter
^ MZ203827: Engine Lifter
^ MB991928: Engine Hanger
^ MB991454: Engine Hanger

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT
<> TRANSAXLE MOUNT BRACKET REMOVAL





1. Install special tools MB991453 and MZ203827 to the vehicle body to support the engine and transaxle assembly.





2. Install special tools MB991895 and MB991454 to the vehicle body to support the engine and transaxle assembly.

1. Assemble the engine hanger (special tool MB991928). Set following parts the base hanger.
^ Slide bracket (HI)
^ Foot (standard) (MB991932)
^ Foot (short) (MB991933)
^ Joint (50) (MB991929)
^ Joint (90) (MB991930)
^ Joint (140) (MB991931)
2. Install special tools MB991928 and MB991454 to the vehicle body to support the engine and transaxle assembly.
4. Remove the centermember and rear roll stopper bracket.
5. Remove the bolt and nut of the transaxle mount bracket.
6. After lowering the engine and transaxle assembly, remove the transaxle mount bracket.

Clamp the transaxle mount stopper so that the arrow points in the direction as shown in the diagram.
