ENGINE OVERHAUL

Cylinder Head Bolts

Cylinder Head Tightening Sequence:

Step 1 79 ± 4 Nm
Step 2 Fully loosen all bolts in reverse tightening order
Step 3 20 ± 2 Nm
Step 4 torque an additional 90°
Step 5 torque an additional 90°

Throttle body bolt 19 ± 3 Nm (14 ± 2 ft. lbs.)
Throttle body stay bolt 19 ± 3 Nm (14 ± 2 ft. lbs.)
Intake manifold plenum bolt and nut 20 ± 2 Nm (14 ± 1 ft. lbs.)
Intake manifold plenum stay M8 21 ± 4 Nm (15 ± 3 ft. lbs.)
Intake manifold plenum stay M10 30 ± 3 Nm (22 ± 2 ft. lbs.)
Manifold absolute pressure sensor bolt 4.9 ± 1 Nm (43 ± 9 in. lbs.)
Exhaust manifold bracket bolt 35 ± 6 Nm (26 ± 4 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust manifold cover bolt 14 ± 1 Nm (122 ± 9 in. lbs.)
