Foaming Material Usage Locations
FOAMING MATERIAL USAGE LOCATIONSHighly-rigid foaming material has been added to the space between the rear wheelhouse inner panel and the upper arm reinforcement to improve the cross-sectional rigidity, thus reducing the amount of road noise
Points to note when working with panels in foaming material usage locations:
The foaming material may ignite if it is heated, so the following points must be observed without fail.
1. Do not use a gas burner or other similar equipment to heat the areas where foaming material has been used.
2. When culling the areas where foaming material has been used, use equipment (such as a pneumatic saw) which does not produce heat to make the cuts.
3. If any foaming material is remaining at the culling locations (on the body side), clean off all foaming material form around the area before carrying out welding.
