ALTERNATOR FR TERMINAL VOLTAGE - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

PURPOSE

Beginning with the 1997 model year, the pull-up voltage of the alternator FR terminal was changed from 5V to 12V.





Some MFI diagnosis procedures include checking the voltage at the alternator FR terminal. The correct voltage reading between the alternator FR terminal and ground should be battery positive voltage (12V). This is incorrectly specified in Group 13 of the affected service manuals.
