INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT SERVICEWARNING
- If heat damage may occur during paint work, remove the SRS-ECU, the air bag module, the clock spring, the seat belt with pre-tensioner. Recheck the SRS system operability after reinstalling them. (Refer to Maintenance Service-SRS Maintenance)
- SRS-ECU, air bag module, clock spring: 93 °C (200 °F) or more
- Seat belt with pre-tensioner: 90 °C (194 °F) or more
- If the SRS components are removed for the purpose of check, sheet metal repair, painting, etc., they should be stored in a clean, dry place until they are reinstalled.
If the SRS components are to be removed or replaced as a result of maintenance, diagnosis, etc., follow the appropriate procedure. (SRS-ECU: refer to Air Bag Modules and Clock Spring: refer to Side impact sensor: refer to Seat Belt with Pre-tensioner)
