ADJUSTMENT OF LIFTGATE FIT




1. If the clearance between the liftgate and the body is uneven, loosen the liftgate mounting bolts, and then move the liftgate until the clearance around the liftgate is uniform.

Liftgate mounting bolt tightening torque: 21 N.m 16 ft-lb




2. If the liftgate is not flush or if latching and unlatching feels heavy, first check the condition of the release cable, and then loosen the liftgate latch mounting bolts and move the liftgate latch to adjust it so that it engages the liftgate striker correctly.

Liftgate latch mounting bolt tightening torque: 21 N.m 16 ft-lb
