HOODADJUSTMENT OF HOOD FIT
1. If the clearance between the hood and the body is uneven, loosen the hood mounting bolts (if the hood was removed) or loosen the hood hinge mounting bolts (it the hood and hood hinges were removed), and then move the hood forward, backward and sideways until the clearance around the hood is uniform.
Hood mounting bolt tightening torque: 12 N.m 106 in-lb
Hood hinge mounting bolt tightening torque: 12 N.m 106 in-lb
2. Turn the hood bumpers either left or right to adjust the height of the hood.
3. If the hood is not flush or if latching and unlatching feels heavy, first check the condition of the release cable, and then loosen the hood latch mounting bolts and move the hood latch to adjust it so that it engages the hood striker correctly.
Hood latch mounting bolt tightening torque: 22 N.m 16 ft-lb
