Hydraulic Unit

HYDRAULIC UNIT
The hydraulic unit is located at the rear of the engine compartment, and is supported elastically by a bracket. The internal mechanism of the unit consists of parts such as the pump motor, IN and OUT solenoid valves (2 for each wheel for a total of 8) and a reservoir.
In addition, the oil route inside the hydraulic unit is separated into two systems to correspond to the normal X-type hose layout.
When the ABS operates, the motor is operated by a signal from the ABS-ECU, and the pump generates the amount of oil pressure necessary for proper control. At the same time, the IN and OUT solenoid valves are turned on and off. This on/off combination determines whether the hydraulic pressure supplied to the wheel cylinders is reduced, maintained or increased.
