During PDI, the PDI Technician and a dedicated Service Department version will now be required to:





1. Locate the Immobilizer ECU serial number (S/N:--------) on the vehicle. Record this serial number in the proper space on the PDI sheet. Give the PDI sheet to the dedicated Service Department person so they can look up the Immobilizer Override Code.

^ Eclipse & Galant - Serial number tag is found in glove box.

^ Diamante - Serial number tag is on the driver's-side trunk lid hinge bar.

^ Montero Sport - Serial number tag is on the front of the driver's-side B-pillar.

2. Using the Immobilizer ECU serial number recorded on the PDI sheet, call up Diamond Net and retrieve the Immobilizer Override Code number and write it in the proper space on the PDI Sheet.

3. IMPORTANT New Procedure:
Place the yellow copy of the PDI sheet in the vehicle's glove box. Then give the PDI sheet original to the clerical staff to be placed in the deal jacket/folder.

NOTE:
The salesperson will write the Override Code from the PDI Sheet onto the Override Procedures card, give the card to the customer; then explain the details of the Immobilizer, Override Code and Procedures, and consequences of losing the keys to the vehicle.
