Convertible Top Latch: Adjustments

LATCH J-HOOK ADJUSTMENT
1. From a fully closed position, raise the convertible top off the header several inches to access the J-hooks of both latches.
2. For both latches, measure the distance from the bottom of the J-hook clamp body to the inside radius of the J-hook.
Standard value: 17 mm (0.663 in.)
3. It the latch hook requires adjustment, loosen the clamp body set screw, rotate the J-hook to the standard value, and tighten the set screw.
Tightening torque: 7.5 Nm (66 in.lbs.)

NOTE: The convertible top may at first be difficult to latch, but should be easier once the weather strips take a set, and the top cover stretches somewhat. This condition may last for up to a week and gradually diminish.
