Fuel Pump Operation Check

FUEL PUMP OPERATION CHECK
1. Check the operation of the fuel pump by using the scan tool to force-drive the fuel pump.
2. If the fuel pump will not operate, check by using the following procedure. If normal, check the fuel pump drive circuit.
1. Turn off the ignition switch.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion.
3. Remove the protector to disconnect the fuel pump connector.
4. Connect both the fuel pump connector terminal 1 to the battery positive terminal and the terminal 2 to the battery negative terminal, and check that an operating sound can be heard from the fuel pump.
5. Check the fuel pressure by pinching the fuel hose with the fingertips.
